At St. Luke’s, we are a community gathered by Jesus to enact faith in love.

God has graced each of us with special gifts, so we may play a unique role within the faith community. As we use our gifts to serve others within the church, city, and world, God is glorified.

    Sundays at St. Luke’s

    On Sundays, volunteers create a warm environment, lead in worship, build relationships with children and students and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.  While you are here to participate in worship, how might you use your unique gifts to give yourself away in generosity and service?

    • Welcoming: Greet the congregation, help guests find their way, or drive courtesy carts from the parking lot to the building.
    • Worship: Sing in a choir, assist baptism families, prepare and serve communion, or be an usher.
    • Administration: Operate a television camera, answer phones in the church office, or collect attendance pads after classes or services.
    • Children: Adults are needed to teach Sunday School, bake treats for our nursery caregivers, or be a Kids Pal (assisting a child with special needs).
    • Students: Adults are needed to serve refreshments, lead a small group discussion, or provide A/V support.

    Weekdays at St. Luke’s

    Our mission continues beyond Sundays, and there are many ways to serve within the church throughout the week.  How could you develop the habit of serving during your week?

    • Prayer: Pray for others as a part of our Prayer Ministry or knit prayer shawls.
    • Caring: Visit, call, or write notes to church members, become a Stephen minister, or assist families during weddings or memorial services.
    • Administration: Answer phones in the church office or prepare materials for adult Sunday morning classes.
    • Children: Adults are needed to assemble worship activity bags, prepare Sunday School materials, or be a PM Pal, spending an evening with children with special needs and their siblings.
    • Students: Adults are needed to lead a morning or evening small group.
